The Milieu Science Team writes alongside a dedicated AI model trained on more than 50 years of peer-reviewed skin and skin microbiome research. Humans frame each piece, decide what matters, and own the final draft. The model helps us surface relevant studies and stress-test claims.
The skin microbiome is a young field. A lot of what's sold as 'microbiome-backed' today is built on a small stack of studies, sometimes preliminary, and extrapolated well beyond what the data actually supports. We don't do that. When something is settled, we say so. When something is preliminary or contested, we say that too.
Our mission is to bring light to what we know about the skin microbiome, honestly, without inventing what we don't.
